Established in 2024, Amaroo Civil (Vic) Pty Ltd is an Indigenous-owned and led civil, landscaping and building construction company. We bring genuine passion and proven expertise across all facets of construction, including civil works, car parks, roads, bridges, landfill remediation, landscaping, and building projects.
At Amaroo Civil, our customer-first approach is at the heart of everything we do, listening, understanding, and translating our clients’ needs into practical, high-quality results. Backed by a trusted network of skilled subcontractors and suppliers, we maintain a commitment to quality, efficiency, and safety on every project.
Our Directors, Daniel and Jack, first worked together in 2016, quickly recognising a shared work ethic, mutual respect, and a belief in doing things the right way. After four years of collaboration, they reunited in 2024 to form Amaroo Civil, bringing together their unique strengths, industry knowledge, and passion for delivering high-quality civil and building projects with a personal touch.

Jack Sellen
Managing Director
Jack grew up on Gunaikurnai – Brayakaulung Country and began his career as a site engineer after completing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, gaining valuable hands-on experience on the ground before moving into contract administration.
His career later expanded into large-scale commercial high-rise projects across Melbourne, where he refined his skills in managing complex works and coordinating multiple stakeholders. Now a registered commercial builder, Jack combines technical expertise with a problem-solving mindset to deliver outstanding results for clients and end users.
Daniel Pedder
Construction Director
A proud member of the Palawa clan now residing on Woiworung land, Daniel began his construction career in 2006 after completing a mechanical apprenticeship.
Starting as a labourer, he progressed to leading hand and later site manager, gaining a wealth of hands-on experience along the way.
Having worked with many respected civil and building contractors, Daniel co-founded Amaroo Civil with a vision to combine quality workmanship, practical know-how, and strong relationships to create lasting value for clients and communities.
