The works involved the demolition and removal of the existing pitch, detailed excavation and subgrade preparation, installation of a concrete slab base, and placement of a new high-quality synthetic cricket wicket system in line with Cricket Victoria standards. The project also included reinstatement of the surrounding turf areas, ensuring seamless integration with the existing playing surface. Careful coordination with the club ensured the works were completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to training and match schedules. This upgrade provides a durable, low-maintenance playing surface that enhances usability year-round and supports the continued growth of grassroots cricket at Rupertswood.
