Amaroo Civil is currently delivering a landfill remediation project at Puckapunyal Army Barracks to improve environmental compliance and site safety. The works involve clearance of existing vegetation, removal and recycling or disposal of inert debris, excavation and off-site disposal of 705 cubic metres of contaminated soils to licensed facilities, and careful handpicking for scattered surface debris and asbestos-containing materials (ACM). Excavations are being reinstated with validated clean soil, followed by clearance inspections and revegetation of disturbed areas to restore the site. The project is being delivered under strict regulatory and Defence requirements to ensure a safe, compliant, and sustainable outcome.
